The Soul undergoes trials beyond time and space. The Hero discovers the depths of his inner world, redefining himself through the trials of the illusions of material existence. Justice, The Hermit, The Wheel, Strength, The Hanged Man, Death, and Temperance, - his Soul grows in accordance with the laws of the Universe.
The Hero harmonizes himself through the Major Arcana of Tarot. The Soul of the Hero is a separate character who appears in the penultimate scene as the result of all transformations.
7 Arcana
Each scene corresponds to a Major Arcana of Tarot — a stage in the Hero’s spiritual ascent.

Justice
Justice
Man realizes the law of cause and effect, realizing that the binary nature of life is an illusion, because there is no difference between "good" and "bad", but there is only the Supreme Law of the Universe. Man asks the Spirit to show him his way.

The Hermit
The Hermit
Step by step a Man learns to trust himself, illuminating his own path as he goes along, while his Soul struggles with challenges.

The Wheel
The Wheel
A person goes through stages of ignorance, self-humiliation, passion and silence, finding himself in the center of the wheel and watching what is happening around him.

Strength
Strength
A person can do everything if he realizes the infinity of his inner strength, tames it and becomes a Master.

The Hanged Man
The Hanged Man
A Man begins to see the world from a new angle and realizes his Genius. He enters another stage of challenges through escaping from reality, ignorance, passion and ego.

Death
Death
She lives every day among people, and we ignore the moment of life itself. Symbol of complete transformation.

Temperance
Temperance
All the previous transformations lead to temperance and balance.

КМАТОБ-ФЕСТ 2014
KMATOB-FEST 2014 — International Festival of Choreographic Art
April 7–12, 2014 · Kyiv Municipal Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet (KMATOB), 2 Mezhyhirska St., Kyiv
The first festival of choreographic art at Kyiv Opera brought together leading Ukrainian choreographers and dance companies for a week of premieres, masterclasses and laboratories. LITSO Dance Company presented with premiere of ANIMA as the opening of the Gala night on April 12.
Organized by Oleksii Busko (leading soloist of Kyiv Modern-Ballet, 2005–2022; artistic director of KMATOB-FEST, 2014–2017) with the support of Radu Poklitaru and KMATOB.

From LITSO to Newspaper Birds
LITSO Dance Company was founded in 2013. The name "LITSO" (meaning "face") reflected the company's core mission: to explore the theater as a space where the true face of a human being is revealed through dance and dramaturgy. LITSO served as a creative laboratory at the intersection of contemporary dance, physical theater, and choreographic storytelling. Newspaper Birds Ballet (NBB) is its natural professional evolution—transitioning from a stage laboratory into a full-scale contemporary ballet company operating on the European stage.

Available for International Stages
